Hi,
I have successfully (2nd attempt) been able to install Longhorn Beta2 and also seemingly installed Web server (IIS7) and Windows Sharepoint services correctly (stated Successfully installed on all elements). However, on running Sharepoint Products and technologies configuration wizard, it fails with message like this:
"Failed to provision the Sharepoint Central Administration Web Application"
"An exception of type System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException was thrown. Exception from HRESULT: 0x80005006"
When accessing the Sharepoint site at http://<server> it states "Under construction".
Application log/configuration log file is available.
Regards,
André

It's a problem with the SharePoint application - don't really need me telling you that :o) Try removing all remnents of SharePoint, then installing it again. If it still doesn't work, bug it to Microsoft. Links here: http://www.vistabase.co.uk/welcome.php?bugreport
